Makati announces road closure, rerouting scheme for Flores de Mayo
Makati City will be implementing on Saturday road closure and traffic rerouting scheme to give way to the annual Flores de Mayo.
In an advisory, the local government said the traffic plan will start at 5 p.m. while the procession will start at 6 p.m. from Bangkal High School and Bangkal Elementary School-Main going to San Ildefonso Parish Church.
The procession will pass through Apolinario, turn right to General Estrella, right to P. Binay, left to Jerry, right to Mayor, left to Cuangco, right to Batangas, right to Valderama.
Valderama street will be closed to traffic.
The no left turn policy at A. Arnaiz and Evangelista intersection shall be lifted during the procession.
Eastbound “M. Reyes-Libertad line” public utility jeepneys and other private vehicles passing through Capt. M. Reyes street or heading towards EDSA are advised to turn right to Evangelista Street, left to M. Reyes street, and to their destination.
Affected motorists will be allowed to cross or pass depending on the discretion of the traffic personnel manning the area.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
