Chavit Singson increases reward to MMDA enforcers to P200,000

Chavit Singson increases reward to MMDA enforcers to P200,000

Luis "Chavit" Singson on Monday increased his reward to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcers who flagged his convoy down for unauthorized use of the EDSA Busway.

Singson visited the MMDA office in Pasig City to turn over the award.

"Nakita ninyo yung sinabi ko sa nag-interview na magbibigay ako ng P100,000 na papremyo sa mga nanghuli, at dahil ilang araw na nangyari, gagawin kong P200,000 ang ibibigay ko,” he said in a Facebook post.

(You saw what I said to the interviewer that I will give P100,000 as a reward to those who apprehended us, and since it happened a few days ago I will make it P200,000.)

According to Singson, he paid the violation tickets issued to his drivers and gave the P200,000 to the enforcers who apprehended his convoy.

“This prize was properly received by the accounting and made with receipt. This cash prize could also be used as a support and improvement to the system of MMDA,” Singson said.

GMA News Online has reached out to the MMDA regarding the matter but it has yet to reply as of posting time.

On April 8, Singson's convoy received a violation ticket from the MMDA after getting caught using the EDSA Busway.
