Man facing rap after stalking It's Showtime host
A criminal complaint has been filed against the man who allegedly harassed a female host of It's Showtime in her condominium unit in Quezon City.
According to a "24 Oras" report by Bernadette Reyes, the suspect, Shervey Torno, is facing a complaint of unjust vexation after his arrest earlier in the day.
The Quezon City Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
Torno, a model, said sorry to his victim.
“Manghihingi na lang ako ng pasensya,” he said as he faced GMA Integrated News in an interview.
A viral video showed the suspect running away from the host who threatened to report him to authorities.
Torno said he found the victim beautiful and tried to ask for a kiss, but he didn’t intend to harm her.
(I followed her. I asked for her name. I asked her for a kiss, then she told the police [that] I held her hip. Then she said I entered the condo unit, but that’s not true. I pushed the door a little because it caught my foot.)
Police authorities said victims of harassment may dial 122 for assistance. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
