8 hurt in fire that hit residential area in Novaliches, QC

Eight people were injured in a fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City on Monday morning, according to a report by James Agustin on Unang Balita.

The fire, which started past 4 a.m. and was at first alarm, occurred on Commissioner Street, just behind the Novaliches General Hospital, according to a report by Allan Gatus on Super Radyo dzBB.

Those injured had burns and wounds, including a fire volunteer.

Residents said the fire was already spreading when they woke up.

Two dogs did not survive.

The fire was finally put out at 5:29 a.m.

Residents were not able to save any of their belongings.

The Bureau of Fire Protection is still investigating the cause of the fire and the cost of property damage. —KG, GMA Integrated News
