Woman tries to smuggle drugs in her privates to jailed husband

A 45-year-old woman visiting her husband in jail was arrested after being caught trying to smuggle in illegal drugs.

According to Nico Waje’s report on 24 Oras Weekend, the woman arrived at the Caloocan City Jail last Friday for a conjugal visit with her husband.

A routine search unearthed six sachets of suspected shabu, which she had inserted into her privates. 

“Nakalagay sila sa isang plastic saka sini-seal sila ng condom. Tapos in-insert sa alam naman natin ang private part. Very elastic yan, papasok talaga,” said Jail Superintedent Jerome Verbo.

(The drugs were placed in a plastic bag and sealed with a condom. Then it was inserted in her private parts. That’s very elastic, so it will go in.)

Also among the hidden items were aluminum foil and 60 cigarettes.

Verbo said all visits to the city jail are subject to search.

“Kung makikita niyo sa may gate kanina meron doon na private room, sine-search talaga. Lady personnel din ang nagse-search. Bawal po mag-search yung lalaki sa mga babae,” he noted.

The woman will face charges of illegal possession of drugs. According to Verbo, the husband's case is also related to illegal drugs. — Sherylin Untalan/BM, GMA Integrated News
