Intramuros announces traffic routes, parking areas for Holy Week

The Intramuros Administration released the list of traffic routes and parking areas for motorists who will visit the Walled City during the Holy Week.

In an advisory, the district management said General Luna St. to Sta. Clara St. would be closed to traffic during Semana Santa.

Vehicles would also not be allowed to park at Plaza Roma and the Intramuros Fire Station.

The designated parking spots were:

• A Soriano (Aduana) except Intramuros Fire Station and Plaza Roma
• Anda (Rightside/in front of Palacio Grande)
• Arzobispo (Beside Clamshell only)
• Beaterio (Muralla to Cabildo)
• Bonifacio Drive (northbound only)
• Legazpi (Behind Letran)
• Magallanes Drive except Plaza Mexico Area
• Plaza España (infront of BPI)
• Real
• San Agustin side (in front of Delle Mitre)
• Magallanes to Solana (Casa Paz side)
• LPU (both sides)
• San Francisco (both sides except Hawker area)
• San Jose (Behind DOLE)
• Sta. Potenciana (left side only)
• Sta. Lucia (Left side)
• Victoria Gap (one side only)

“Please refer to the Intramuros Map for designated parking areas, traffic routes, restroom facilities, stations of the cross, churches and chapels, street vendors, and other information,” the Intramuros Administration said on Facebook.

“Your cooperation ensures a safe and orderly experience for all. Thank you for your understanding and respect for this sacred time,” the management added.

Meanwhile, a P50/day parking flat rate will be imposed at the designated parking areas.

Guests may also avail of Kalesa ride for P1,000 per trip, with a discounted price of P800 for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and students.

Pedicab rides are priced at P50 for 3 passengers. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
