Fire in storage facility in Valenzuela City not yet out but already confined


The fire that hit a storage facility in Valenzuela City on Friday has yet to be put out but is already confined as of Saturday morning.

This was confirmed by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Valenzuela to Super Radyo dzBB reporter Carlo Mateo.

According to the BFP Valenzuela ground commander, the fire at the storage facility on De Castro Street in Paso de Blas is still at third alarm on Saturday morning.

The fire started at 3:15 p.m. on Friday and reached the third alarm by 3:46 p.m.

The three-storey facility located in a 4,000-square meter area serves as storage for kitchen utensils and household items.

The BFP said it is ensuring that residents living at the back of the storage facility will not be affected by the fire.

The bureau also said it needs continuous supply of water to put out the fire.

No one was hurt or trapped in the fire.

The BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire. —KG, GMA Integrated News
