Rido eyed as man shot dead on busy Arlegui Street
A 27-year-old man was shot and killed on a busy street over the weekend on Arlegui Street in Manila.
According to a report on "24 Oras," the victim was walking at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night when the suspect came from behind and shot him.
The gunman shot the victim another time while the latter was already on the ground before fleeing on board a waiting motorcycle.
"Isa lang ang tama sa ulo ng ating biktima," said Police Capt. Dennis Turla, chief of the homicide division of the Manila Police District.
"Possible na baka hindi pumutok yung pangalawa pero sa una palang nakita natin na bumagsak ito," he added.
(The victim had a gunshot wound on the head. It's possible that the second shot didn't fire but we saw that the victim already fell with the first.)
Police said rido or a quarrel with another family is one of the motives being looked into.
Other angles being investigated include a personal grudge or a business issue. —NB, GMA Integrated News
