S.Korean ex-official wanted for fraud nabbed in Mandaluyong

The Bureau of Immigration has arrested a South Korean former official in Mandaluyong for allegedly stealing over P2 million.

According to a 24 Oras report by John Consulta on Wednesday, fugitive Choe Youngsam was named a priority target by an Interpol red notice for fraudulent activity.

From the available Immigration records, Youngsam was able to enter the country last year because at the time there was no derogatory record against him. In the Philippines, he would constantly change his location to avoid detection.

Choe is currently in the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group while awaiting deportation. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/BM, GMA Integrated News
