Jeepney falls into creek in Antipolo; 14 injured

A passenger jeepney plunged into a creek in Antipolo, Rizal on New Year's Day, leaving at least 14 people injured.

According to a 24 Oras report on Tuesday, the jeepney crashed through a roadside creek barrier at Circumferential Road, Barangay San Isidro at about 2 p.m. on Monday.

The police said the jeepney's brakes failed as the vehicle was moving on a downward slope.

Instead of causing harm to other motorists and pedestrians, the driver turned the jeepney towards the creek barrier, the 24 Oras report said.
