160,000 passengers flock to PITX on Friday, Dec. 22
Over a hundred thousand passengers flocked to the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) on Friday night, December 22, 2023, according to one of its officials.
“Actually kagabi, just to let you know, nag-160,000 ang foot traffic…,” PITX corporate affairs officer Kolyn Calbasa said in an interview on Dobol B sa GTV on Saturday.
(Last night, just to let you know, foot traffic reached 160,000.)
As of Saturday morning, Calbasa said a huge volume of passengers are still going to the PITX.
“We are still ready hanggang sa makauwi na ang lahat,” she said.
(We are still ready, until everybody gets home.)
“Inaasahan natin na papalo pa rin ng 100,000 ang mga pasahero. Pero definitely mas kaunti na kumpara kagabi,” she added.
(We still expect foot traffic to reach around 100,000. But definitely less compared to last night.)
The PITX official said buses on standby were utilized due to the heavy volume of passengers who flocked to the terminal.
“As of now, wala tayong untoward incident… Marami tayong mga nakumpisang sharp object, at flammable items na mahigpit na ipinagbabawal,” Calbasa said.
