Vico Sotto tests positive for COVID-19
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto tested positive for the coronavirus.
On Facebook, Sotto said he exhibited mild COVID-19 symptoms and apologized for postponed meetings scheduled for the week.
“Nakakainis!!! Sotto said.
(It’s frustrating. I tested positive for COVID-19. I have mild symptoms, so I took an antigen test. I posted this to apologize to those who were scheduled for a meeting with me this week.)
(We will continue adhering to the protocol. We will postpone or hold meetings via Zoom until my symptoms are gone.)
The mayor also suggested that the public wear masks in light of the Department of Health’s (DOH) advisory on the reported uptick in pneumonia cases.
(If I may add: The DOH warned against the increasing cases of pneumonia. The coronavirus is also still there, so it is highly recommended to mask up, especially if we have symptoms.)
Latest data from the DOH showed the country’s total COVID-19 caseload was at 4,125,083 as of December 1. Active cases were at 3,186. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
