2 killed in Parañaque residential fire

Two people were killed in a fire that hit a residential area in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City early morning on Thursday, the Southern Police District (SPD) said.

The fatalities were a 40-year-old male and 62-year-old female, according to the SPD.

Based on a report of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started at 12:36 a.m. and reached the third alarm at 12:54 a.m.

The fire was declared out at 3:00 a.m.

Around 60 individuals or 40 families were affected after more or less 20 houses and establishments were burned.

The BFP said around P75,000 worth of properties were damaged. The blaze allegedly started at the second floor of a house.
