Fire breaks out in Barangay Apolonio Samson in Quezon City

A fire broke out on Sunday morning in a residential area in Barangay Apolonio Samson, Quezon City.

The fire which affected Kaingin Bukid started at around 7:33 a.m., according to a report by Luisito Santos on Super Radyo dzBB.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) raised the third alarm at around 8:30 a.m.

Some affected residents evacuated temporarily to a nearby compound.

Firemen were able to put the fire under control at 10:01 a.m.

Fire out was declared at 12:49 p.m., according to the BFP Galas Fire Station.

Three were reported injured in the incident — two women and one fire volunteer.

The BFP said at least 20 houses of informal settlers were affected by the fire.

BFP personnel are still conducting mopping-up operations in the area as investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire. —KG/RF, GMA Integrated News
