2 suspects remain at large following Makati Buy Bust

The Philippine National Police arrested two suspects in a Thursday evening buy-bust operation in Makati City.

According to a statement released by the PNP, the Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit arrested suspects identified as alias Michaela and alias Baliw following information on illegal drug activities provided by a confidential informant.

The suspects reportedly transacted with an undercover operative when Michaela suspected that she was transacting with the police and dropped the suspected drugs as Baliw tried to bump the undercover operative with a car.

Operatives shot at the car, but the suspects were able to escape.

Approximately 40 grams of suspected shabu valued at over P272,000 were recovered at the scene.

The authorities are now preparing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002 while the suspects remain at large. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
