Manila imposes liquor ban ahead of BSKE, Undas
The city government of Manila on Thursday has announced that a liquor ban will be in place starting this weekend as part of efforts to ensure the conducted of a peaceful Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections and Undas.
Mayor Honey Lacuña-Pangan issued Executive Order No. 34 imposing a liquor ban in the City of Manila from October 29 to November 2, 2023.
"It is necessary to prohibit the sale of liquor and other alcoholic beverages in Manila City taking into consideration the somberness of these occasions and in light of the opening of all cemeteries to the general public, not just to Manileños," read the Executive Order No. 34.
Manila District Police has been instructed to strictly enforce said bans throughout the aforementioned timeframe. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
