P16M worth of shabu hidden in tape dispensers seized in Pasay

The National Bureau of Investigation recently arrested a suspect carrying more than 2,000 grams of shabu hidden in tape dispensers.

According to a statement released by the NBI on Wednesday, suspect Raymond Darag Dulla  was arrested in an operation in Pasay City.

Dulla was seen transporting brown boxes full of tape dispensers stuffed with 2,454,85 grams of suspicious white crystalline substances in a taxi.

The NBI-Forensic Chemistry Division (FCD) conducted an examination of the substance and confirmed that it was shabu, with a street value of around P16 million. 

The suspect also tested positive for illegal drugs.

Dulla will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Transportation of Illegal Drugs) of R.A. 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). —Jiselle Casucian/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
