Maranan named acting QC police chief

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has named its public information chief Police Brigadier General Redrico Maranan as the new acting director of the Quezon City Police District.

This is after former QCPD chief Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III resigned from his post to give way to the investigation into the road rage incident involving a former policeman and a cyclist.

Meanwhile, PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo was designated as the acting head of the PNP Public Information Office.

Based on the order for their designation, which was confirmed by Fajardo, the new assignments were effective August 31, Thursday.—Joviland Rita/AOL, GMA Integrated News
