Parts of Valenzuela remain flooded
Parts of Valenzuela remain submerged in flood waters amid continued rains from the enhanced Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, according to Anjo Pertierra's report on Unang Balita on Tuesday.
Among the areas that remain flooded is the Macarthur Highway, where commuters brave the flood in able to get to work or school.
In addition to the rain, a broken drainage system was cited as another possible cause of the flood.
As of Tuesday, an estimated 1,000 families were staying in the 13 evacuation centers all over Valenzuela due to the impact of the Typhoon.
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said [arts of Luzon and the Visayas will continue to experience gusty conditions due to the enhanced Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, as Typhoon Falcon maintained its strength while moving towards the sea southeast of Okinawa Islands.
PAGASA also said that around 3 to 4 more tropical cyclones may be expected within the month of August, and around 8 to 11 tropical cyclones may arrive from August to January of next year. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
