Woman found dead inside Manila motel, MPD looking for ‘ex-cop’

A woman was found dead inside a motel in Manila on Friday.

Accordin to Jamie Santos' report on "Saksi," the victim succumbed to a gunshot wound on her body.

Initial investigation showed that the victim checked into the motel with her boyfriend on Thursday afternoon.

The suspect left the room alone on Friday morning. He was seen on CCTV leaving by himself.

Motel staff heard no commotion nor gunshot. The room was also inorder when the staff went in.

The suspect and the victim reportedly had drinks in their room.

The police and barangay personnel went to the known address of the suspect but didn't find him there.

Follow-up operations are ongoing to find him.

"Itong ating suspect inaalam namin ang status. Ang alam namin ay dati siyang police. 'Di lang namin makumpirma kung ito ay dismissed ba o AWOL ba," Manila Police District Homicide Section chief Police Capt. Dennis Turla said.
