MMDA, LGUs to create integrated drainage system
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) plans to create an integrated drainage system in the National Capital Region (NCR) to address perennial flooding during the rainy season.
In GTV’s Balitanghali report by Bam Alegre on Thursday, the MMDA and several officials from the Metro Manila local governments had a round table discussion for the 50-year Metro Manila Drainage Master Plan.
The authorities will create an integrated drainage system to ensure floodwaters subside quickly.
MMDA also urged the public’s cooperation by avoiding littering.
Aside from this, the LGU is also planning to relocate the families living as informal settlers along Metro Manila, which was previously delayed due to the pandemic. —Sherylin Untalan/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
