SCTEX multi-vehicle collision kills 3 people

A multi-vehicle collision in a portion of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) on Wednesday in Mabalacat, Pampanga left three people dead and one person injured. 

According to Ian Cruz’s report on "24 Oras", the incident took place along the SCTEX northbound lane after a pickup truck hit the barrier and slipped through the southbound lane.

"Pag preno nya po gumewang. Na out of Control siya," said Jerry Valerio who witnessed the incident in Ian Cruz's report on 24 Oras.

The vehicle reportedly collided with another truck as well as other cars.

Four people from one of the vehicles that figured in the incident were rushed in a hospital in Tarlac. Three of them, however, were pronounced dead on arrival.  

"Nung nakuha namin sila negative pulse negative breathing," said one of the rescuers, Rudolf Enrile.

Police, meanwhile, are now investigating the driver of the pickup truck. The driver denied speeding during the time of the incident.  —Sundy Locus/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
