Fire hits commercial area in Ermita, Manila

A fire broke out in a commercial area in A. Mabini St. Ermita, Manila on Sunday afternoon, GMA Super Radyo dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported.

Firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) raised the second alarm at 3:21 p.m., the report added.

A follow-up report indicated that the fire spread to an adjacent three-story dormitory for seamen.

There was no immediate information regarding casualties in the incident.

One fire volunteer, however, fell from the second floor of the dormitory engulfed by fire, but was already given medical attention by emergency medical services personnel. —LBG, GMA Integrated News
