‘Police asset’ killed by motorcycle-riding suspects in Novaliches

A 40-year-old man was killed after being shot by motorcycle-riding assassins in Novaliches, Quezon City.

According to Glen Juego's reports on super radyo dzBB, the victim was identified as Roger Gereza, a resident of Barangay Gulod.

Based on the initial investigation, Gereza was walking on Villareal Street when two men riding a motorcycle approached and shot him. A man who also got near the victim before the shooting is also considered a suspect.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said the killing may have been related to Gereza being an asset in the police's anti-illegal drug operations.

One of the three suspects was arrested, but he refused to give a statement.
