Power interruption hits Camp Crame as transformer catches fire

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday said its national headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City has experienced power interruption.

PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo told GMA News Online that a transformer near the Public Information Office caught fire around 1 p.m.

“Sinusubukan po ma-restore within the day po. Temporarily generator po ang gumagana sa ngayon (We are trying to restore the power supply within the day. For now, a generator is being used temporarily),” she said.

As of posting, the affected areas are still being powered by generator while fixes are ongoing. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
