Barangay security officer killed in Pasig City residential fire

A barangay security officer was killed, while four others were hurt after a fire broke out at a residential area in Pasig City, according to Sam Nielsen’s Super Radyo dzBB report on Tuesday.

The 42-year-old fatality was first reported missing until his body was found in a compound of fire-hit homes in Esguerra Street, Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

The victim was immediately brought to Barangay Maharlika, Taguig City so his burial could be arranged.

Authorities said the victim went back to his house because he thought that his child was left behind in a burning home.

The fire reached the third alarm and swiftly spread because the houses were made of light materials. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
