Senior citizen staying in PITX for almost 3 weeks now after getting robbed

A 61-year-old man has been staying at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) for almost three weeks now after his mobile phone and bag containing P15,000 were stolen.

Antonio Herilo, a resident of Batangas City, said that the robbery took place on March 14 at PITX, according to a report of Jhomer Apresto on Super Radyo dzBB.

He fell asleep and left his phone charging, but it was already gone, along with his bag, when he woke up.

Merilo said someone only lent him the P15,000 to pay for his supposed rent while looking for a job in Metro Manila.

Based on the incident report of PITX, the suspect was wearing a black cap, black shirt, and black slippers and was rushing to get out of the terminal.

“‘Yung incident na nasilisihan ako… Tinimingan niya ‘yung pag-idlip ko tsaka niya ano… Talagang kitang kita sa CCTV na tuma-timing ‘yung kanyang ano,” he said.

(The suspect was waiting for me to fall asleep before he took my valuables. It was evident in the CCTV that he was timing his robbery.)

Asked why he was still not able to go home, he said, “Kukuha lang sana ako ng mga personal belongings ko para ‘yung uupahan ko rito…maghahanap muna ako. Para lang ‘yun sa may umaasa pa kasi sa akin.”

(I was just about to get my personal belongings while I’m looking for a place to rent here. Someone is still depending on me.)

The police are still investigating the robbery incident. —Giselle Ombay/KG, GMA Integrated News
