Pasig River Ferry Service suspends operations for Holy Week
The Pasig River Ferry Service is set to suspend its operations for the observance of Holy Week, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Monday.
In an advisory, the MMDA announced the ferry service will halt operations from Wednesday, April 5 to Monday, April 11.
The MMDA said they will use the time to conduct maintenance on their ferry boats.
Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, April 11.
The management of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) previously said they will temporarily close for the Holy Week.
Earlier, the government announced that April 6 (Maundy Thursday) and April 7 (Good Friday) are regular holidays, while April 8 (Black Saturday) is a special non-working day.
Meanwhile, Monday, April 10, has been declared a non-working day in observance of Araw ng Kagitingan, which falls on April 9 (Sunday). —Sundy Locus/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
