Fire hits Tondo residential area

A fire broke out at a residential area in Tondo, Manila on Saturday morning.

The said fire affected the area at the corner of Sandico and Barcelona Streets in Barangay 35, according to a report by Jhomer Apresto on Super Radyo dzBB.

The first alarm was raised at 11:17 a.m., then the second alarm at 11:21 a.m. Firemen raised the third alarm at 11:49 a.m., according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The houses were made of light materials, according to the BFP.

The BFP placed the fire under control at 12:38 p.m.

Firemen are currently conducting mopping-up operations and investigation to determine the cause of the fire and extent of damage. —KG, GMA Integrated News
