Female PDLs allowed to visit husbands at NBP for Christmas

More than 30 female persons deprived of liberty (PDL) from the Correctional Institution for Women were allowed to visit their husbands who were incarcerated at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City this Christmas season.

According to a Dobol B TV report by Mao dela Cruz, BuCor spokesperson Sonny del Rosario said 35 female PDLs were permitted to visit their husbands at the national penitentiary on Saturday.

Some of the women were co-accused in cases involving their husbands or partners.

Female PDL visits are uncommon, but according to the BuCor, this one was done in the spirit of Christmas. —Jamil Santos/VBL, GMA Integrated News
