Fire breaks out in QC residential area
A fire broke out in a residential area that spread to some commercial establishments in Capoas Street corner Toktokan Street in Barangay Masambong, Quezon City on Monday.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) National Capital Region reported that the fire started at 1:08 p.m. and reached the third alarm at 1:17 p.m.
According to a report by GlenJuego on Super Radyo dzBB, the fire was declared out at 2:21 p.m.
One person was reported injured who sustained a wound on the leg. The BFP team provided treatment for the victim.
At least seven trucks responded to the area, the BFP said.
The fire started at a four-storey building made of light materials, which caused its rapid spread to nearby houses and commercial buildings.
According to the report, the firefighters faced difficulty putting out the blaze because of the crowded area.—Joviland Rita/LDF, GMA Integrated News
