Vhong Navarro to be transferred to Taguig City Jail

Actor and television host Vhong Navarro is slated to be transferred to the Taguig City Jail.

According to a report on "24 Oras", this is under the commitment order issued by the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69.

While the authorities are still preparing the documents for the transfer, Navarro is currently being detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Detention Center.

He will also be subjected to health protocol requirements.

Prosecutors accused Navarro of raping Cornejo through "force, threat, and intimidation" and by purposely intoxicating her on January 2014.

Navarro has denied the allegations against him.

Deniece Cornejo's camp had requested that Navarro be transferred to the Taguig City Jail. —Sherylin Untalan/NB, GMA Integrated News
