Mother who returned to house among 5 killed in Navotas fire

A mother who went back into the house for two other family members amid a fire was among the five persons killed in the blaze that hit a residential area in Barangay Bagumbayan, Navotas City.

According to Katrina Son's report on Saksi, two others were injured in the fire, which started at 3:58 p.m.

The intensity of the fire prompted authorities to raise the alarm to Task Force Alpha at 6:22 p.m.

The fire required 20 fire trucks to respond.

Fire Supt. Joel Diwata, the Navotas City fire director, said the houses were built close to one another and made of light materials.

He said it was difficult to control the fire because there was a water service interruption in the area. -NB, GMA Integrated News
