Marikina River on third alarm as water level reaches 18 meters
Marikina River's water level reached 18 meters before midnight on Sunday prompting the local government to sound the third alarm.
With this, forced evacuation of residents along the river and low-lying areas will be enforced.

Marikina mayor Marcelino Teodoro earlier said several residents were also preemptively evacuated to safety as Typhoon Karding pounded with torrential rains and strong winds.
A separate report on radio dzBB said Teodoro has ordered the setting up of additional evacuation centers as more families are expected to temporarily leave their homes to safer places.
Signal No. 3 remains hoisted over Marikina and the entire Metro Manila and several Luzon provinces due to Karding.—LDF, GMA News
