Police nab illegal wildlife trader in Pasay

Authorities arrested a man after illegally trading endangered animals in Pasay City.

According to Emil Sumangil's report on "24 Oras," the seller was caught by an undercover police operative after selling endangered animals without a permit from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Rescued from the suspect were four ball pythons from Africa and two Leopard geckos. Other animals were also for sale, according to the report.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) did not release the suspect's identity, who also refused to give a statement.—Sherylin Untalan/LDF, GMA News
