Ateneo shooting suspect's arraignment reset to November 11 –Furigay counsel

The arraignment of Chao Tiao Yumol, the suspect in the Ateneo de Manila shooting incident, was rescheduled to November 11.

Atty. Quirino Esguerra, the counsel of the Furigay family, confirmed this.

Esguerra said the arraignment was rescheduled because Yumol had yet to submit his medical evaluation report.

Yumol’s arraignment was previously reset on September 16.

He has been charged with three counts of murder as well as frustrated murder, carnapping, and illegal possession of firearms for the shooting incident which killed three people in July.

Killed in the shooting were the former mayor of Lamitan, Basilan Rose Furigay, her aide Victor Capistrano, and university security guard Jeneven Bandiala.

Furigay’s daughter, Hannah, was also wounded in the incident.
