Pasay residential fire reaches second alarm before being put out


A fire broke out in Barangay 198 in Pasay City, on Tuesday morning, affecting about 40 houses and 80 families, according to the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP).

A report from the BFP-National Capital Region Public Information Office said the fire on 16 Airlane Road in Aeroville Subdivision reached the first alarm at 11:07 a.m. and the second alarm at 11:12 a.m.

The fire was controlled at 11:29 a.m., and firefighters declared the fire to be out at 11:32 a.m.

At least 31 fire trucks and 2 ambulances responded to the incident, the BFP said.

While there were no recorded fatalities or injuries, property damage from the blaze was estimated at P150,000.

As of posting time, arson investigators are still determining the total number of affected individuals and establishments. — Mel Matthew Doctor/BM, GMA News
