SUV hits barriers along EDSA then turns on its side

A luxury SUV turned on its side after hitting several plastic and concrete barriers along EDSA early Tuesday morning, GMA News' James Agustin reported.

The accident occurred at the EDSA-Corinthian area on the northbound lane in Quezon City.

The driver of the SUV, according to the report, admitted to falling asleep behind the wheel.

The report did not state whether the driver was injured.

Meanwhile, an EDSA carousel bus collided with an ambulance which was transporting a patient to the Quezon City General Hospital.

Traffic enforcers at the site worked together to carry the patient onboard a taxi to go to the hospital. -- BAP/KG, GMA News
