Motorist smashes bus driver's window, windshield in QC traffic spat

A motorist smashed the driver's side window of a bus during a traffic altercation on V. Luna Avenue in Quezon City.

According to Emil Sumangil's report on "24 Oras", passengers said the motorist confronted the bus driver after the latter repeatedly blocked his path.

The utility vehicle driver filed a complaint for malicious mischief and physical injury against the bus driver.

“According sa statement niya, tuwing aabante (sila), hinaharangan ng bus hanggang makalagpas siya. Noong nakalagpas siya, nilagpasan din siya hanggang nakaabot sila sa V.Luna,” the investigator Police Master Sgt. Jun Abugado said.

(According to his statement, whenever (they) overtake the bus, the bus would block them. When he eventually overtook the bus, the bus also did the same until they reached V. Luna.)

Meanwhile, the bus driver refused to give a comment on the matter.

He added that their lawyer will also file charges against the utility vehicle driver.

“Iwasan natin ‘yung masyadong mainit sa kalsada, kung kayang palagpasin, iwasan na. Kung hindi kaya, mas mabuting lumapit sa mga awtoridad,” Abugado said.
