Fire kills 69-year-old trapped in Manila home

A 69-year-old woman was killed after getting trapped in a fire that engulfed her home in Sta. Cruz, Manila, according to a “24 Oras” report on Friday.

The laundrywoman of the victim said the senior citizen had difficulty walking which possibly hindered her from getting out of her home.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, at least 20 families were affected during the blaze that reached third alarm.

Authorities said no one was injured, while 10 houses were damaged.

They are still investigating the cause of the fire.—Richa Noriega/LDF, GMA News
