Pasay Mayor Calixto-Rubiano tests positive again for COVID-19

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano again tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday.

Calixto-Rubiano is currently in isolation at a health facility, her chief of staff said.

The mayor will conduct virtual meetings while she is in isolation, her office said.

It was on Saturday when Calixto-Rubiano had sore throat, prompting her to have a swab test.

In February 2021, the mayor first tested positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Navotas City Mayor Tobias “Toby” Tiangco said he was set to undergo a two-week isolation period after he tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend.

The Philippines on Sunday logged 4,600 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 2,851,931.

Of this number, 21,418 are active; 2,778,943 recovered; and 51,570 died. —KG, GMA News
