Over 150 families affected in separate fire incidents in Pasay, Manila
About 150 families were affected in a fire that ravaged residential areas in Pasay and Manila City on Tuesday night, according to a State of the Nation report.
In Pasay, more than 20 houses in Barangay 87 were hit by the fire, which began past 6 p.m. and reached the third alarm.
Authorities said 200 individuals or 50 families were affected in the Pasay fire.
Firefighters took almost three hours to put out the blaze due to lack of water. The same firefighters earlier responded to a fire that hit a residential area in Manila.
Meanwhile, the fire that hit a residential area in San Andres, Manila before 6 p.m. affected about 100 families.
The fire that reached a second alarm was extinguished after more than one hour. -- Consuelo Marquez/BAP, GMA News
