Two hurt as fire hits warehouse for gadgets in San Juan City


Two men were injured after a fire broke out at a warehouse storing gadgets in San Juan City before dawn on Monday.

The fire started past 3 a.m. at the warehouse located on J. Ruiz Street in Barangay Salapan, according to a report by Bam Alegre on GMA News' Unang Balita.

One of those injured was a security guard who sustained first-degree burns. He was already brought to the hospital.

The other person who was injured jumped out of the building and hurt his ankle. He was given first aid.

The fire reached the second alarm.

As of past 6 a.m., the fire was already under control, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection.

BFP personnel were conducting mopping up operations as of posting time.

Investigation is ongoing as to the cause of fire. —KG, GMA News
