The fire started at 4:41 a.m. at the warehouse containing raw materials used in manufacturing bullets and affected the factory of packaging materials next door, according to a report by Darlene Cay on GMA News' 24 Oras.
After six minutes, the Bureau of Fire Protection-Valenzuela raised the third alarm as the fire quickly spread.

The factory, which made packaging materials, reportedly stored solvent.

The fatality was identified as the security guard at the warehouse.
Another guard was injured and had second-degree burns. He was brought to the hospital for medical attention.
The BFP-Valenzuela is still investigating the cause of the fire, as well as the possible reason why the guards were not able to evacuate.
The cost of damage is expected to reach P3 million.
The warehouse was already hit by fire in 2008.
The BFP said it will check if Fire Code guidelines were followed after the fire incident in 2008.
