Man in Pasig nabbed for offering free swab tests for a fee


An employee of the Child's Hope Hospital in Pasig City was arrested during an entrapment operation on Saturday after allegedly offering the city's otherwise free swab test for a fee.

According to Luisito Santos’ report on Super Radyo dzBB, the 23-year-old suspect, identified as RV Tobago, is a molecular encoder at the hospital.

Investigation showed that the suspect was "selling" free swab tests to non-residents of Pasig for P900 to up to P3,900.

Police authorities are still looking for Tobago’s alleged accomplice, a certain Aljohn Santos.

At present, the suspect is under the custody of the Pasig City Police.

The suspect may face charges for robbery and extortion as well as violation of the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007. Joahna Lei Casilao/MDM, GMA News
