Heavy rain causes flooding in Metro Manila
Heavy rain due to the southwest monsoon caused flooding in several areas in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Saturday.
According to Mai Bermudez’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” cars and trucks had difficulty crossing the knee-deep floodwater along España Boulevard.
Despite this, some children were seen swimming in the flood.
In Sampaloc, residents fished their belongings out of the water after these were swept out from their homes by the flood.
Meanwhile, the floodwaters along Taft Avenue were gutter-high, causing some vehicles to stop in the middle of the road.
Heavy rains also caused almost zero visibility along Buendia to Osmeña Highway in Makati, Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, and in Caloocan. — Joahna Lei Casilao/DVM, GMA News
