Fire breaks out in part of Megamall

Fire hit a portion of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City early Sunday morning.

The fire which broke out in the mall's Building C reached the first alarm, according to a report by Luisito Santos on Dobol B TV.

The Bureau of Fire Protection-Mandaluyong City said the fire started 3:36 a.m. between the sixth and seventh floors of Building C.

The fire was put out at 3:55 a.m.

Employees of call center Concentrix whose office is located at Building C said they were asked to evacuate past 3 a.m. They stayed at the bus bay located on the ground level.

However, it took hours before they were allowed to go back to their office as firemen still had to conduct mop-up operations. —KG, GMA News
