The Medical City in Pasig now at full capacity for COVID-19 cases

The Medical City in Pasig has announced that its COVID-19 floors, emergency rooms, and intensive care units are now at full capacity as coronavirus disease infections continue to increase nationwide.

Nonetheless, TMC said it will continue to treat non-COVID-19 patients despite its inability to accept new COVID-19 patients.

"As we have established our ONE complex, TWO systems configuration for both COVID and non-COVID patients, our non-COVID patients have clearly delineated pathways and will continue to be accommodated accordingly," according to the hospital's statement on Facebook on Sunday.

The TMC management also advised the public to use One Hospital Command, referral system for hospital providers and medical transportation, if they need urgent care for COVID-19 cases.

"We are closely monitoring the situation with Pasig LGU and are also part of the ONE Hospital Command. Your health and safety are our utmost priority so we highly recommend you utilize this network in seeking urgent care for COVID cases," read the statement.

Earlier, St. Luke's Medical Center in Taguig and Quezon City as well as Medical Center Taguig said it can no longer accept more COVID-19 patients.

On Monday, Philippines logged 8,019 new cases of COVID-19, raising the total sum of cases to 671,792. Of the total, 80,790 cases are active, 577,850 are recoveries and 12,972 are deaths.

In a bid to decrease daily COVID-19 cases by 25%, the national government implemented the NCR (National Capital Region) bubble, which prohibits non-essential travel of those living in the metropolis, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal from going beyond the border of the said bubble.
