Car crashes into bank in Quezon City, injures employee


A car crashed into a bank in Quezon City, causing injuries to an employee on Wednesday, police said.

According to the Quezon City Police District, the driver identified as Esther Peralta, a physician, accidentally stepped on the accelerator of her car at the parking lot of the bank at about 8 a.m.

Thus, the car suddenly thrust  forward and crashed into the bank along EDSA Northbound in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay.

Bank employee identified as Aireem Marco, 44 years old, sustained injuries and was brought to the East Avenue Medical Center for treatment.

Also, the vehicle and a portion of the bank were damaged.

According to the police report, a case will be filed upon the completion of evidence. —Joviland Rita/LBG, GMA News
