San Juan Mayor Zamora recovers from COVID-19


San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora on Sunday said he has recovered from COVID-19.

In a Facebook post, Zamora announced that he has received clearance from his doctor at Cardinal Santos Medical Center.

"Receiving my medical clearance from Dr. Paul Salandanan, my infectious disease doctor who along with Cardinal Santos Medical Center took good care of me during my 14 day quarantine. I am now clinically recovered and free of COVID-19. I have been cleared to be reintegrated back into the community following WHO and DOH guidelines. Thank you very much for all your prayers and well wishes. Very much appreciated. Please always stay safe by observing all health and safety protocols," he wrote.

Zamora also posted a medical clearance signed by Salandanan which in part says: "He is now deemed clinically recovered, cleared of COVID-19 and can be reintegrated back into the community."

Salandanan also said that Zamora was in his care from March 1 to 14, and that the mayor was asymptomatic and showed no signs for COVID-19.

"More than 14 days have elapsed since he tested positive ," he wrote.

Zamora, 43, had a swab test on February 28, the result of which came out on March 1—KG, GMA News
